The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is a non-partisan, non-profit, international organization located in Arlington, Virginia. Our mission is to be the advocate for cutting-edge technology and superior weapons, equipment, training and support for the War-Fighter and First Responder; promote a vigorous, responsive, Government-Industry National Security Team; and to provide an ethical forum for the exchange of information between industry and Government on National Security issues.The membership base consists of individuals from the entire spectrum of the defense and national security industrial base and individual government employees.
The Iowa-Illinois chapter as an arm of the national association, provides local geographic coverage to further the objectives and policies of the national association. Our chapter represents Iowa and the Western 1/3 of Illinois with a total membership of nearly 650 – both industry/government with over 40 corporate members. Our focus areas include sponsorship of community and military events/activities, scholarship programs, and hosting seminars/conferences/symposiums. Chapter has been continuously recognized by the national association as a model chapter since 2002.
